AFT Michigan : Celebrating 75 Years

Share Your History
As we prepare for the 75th Anniversary in 2010 we are looking for information about your local and its history. We hope to collect local history narratives, photos, flyers, newspaper clippings, etc. that will help tell our collective story.

We are working with Dan Golodner, the AFT Archivist at Wayne State University. Please contact him at ad6292@wayne.edu or Beth Thoreson at bthoreson@aftmichigan.org if you have items for the history.

Union History is YOUR History

We will be posing a question here that we hope you will answer. Our goal is to create an archive of personal remembrances that will keep our union history alive so that future members can learn from us. Please check back to see what the current question is and send us your response.

The current questions is:

What was the first “union” activity you participated in
– what, when and where?
